MAXIMUS Federal Services, DME QIC is a group of experts on appeals. Medicare hired MAXIMUS Federal Services to perform reconsiderations of appealed Durable Medical Equipment redeterminations made by a Durable Medical Equipment Medicare Administrative Contractor.  A reconsideration is an independent review of the administrative record, including the initial determination and redetermination. MAXIMUS Federal Services works for Medicare. MAXIMUS Federal Services' job is to be fair and independent.
